Complete Carers Co Social Support

Social support

People with disability often experience loneliness and social isolation. Being social and having daily human contact can improve their well-being, self esteem and also help feel more connected to others.

We encourage meeting new people and trying new things but we also join our clients during everyday activities such as shopping, banking, and community events.

We can build socialising around experiences or even drop by for an afternoon cup of tea and a chat.

Community access can lead to improved health and well-being, quality of life and feeling connected with others.

We support people to take part in their community by meeting new people and trying new things.  We want you to have fun, so it’s completely up to you what activity you decide to participate in, or we can help come up with ideas.

You might like to try a new sport, an art class, visit a museum, go horse riding, enjoy a hike, watch a movie, cheer on your favourite sports team and much more!

respite care

Respite care allows primary caregivers of persons with a disability to take a well deserved break. We know this role can be demanding, stressful and tiring therefore we offer variations of service to suit what you need from a few hours to days. This will allow carers to avoid burn out and take some well-deserved time for themselves, whilst ensuring their loved ones are well looked after at the same time.

sport inclusion

Getting involved in a team sport is a fun team-building activity and it’s an opportunity to connect people living with disability to one another. Our team sports are also a great way to learn, maintain and develop new skills.

We’ve created our very own basketball team who train and play games each week. Outside of this we arrange fun team-building activities for them as well. We hope to get cricket, lawn bowls and ten pin bowling teams up and running in 2023.
